Wenge veneer is naturally dark brown in color. It is an open grain wood that accepts finishes well. The deep dark color of the wenge adds dramatic effect by itself or a bold contrast with other woods.

Generally, standard grade quarter cut wenge veneer is relatively straight grained with occasional grain deflections and small pin knots. Wenge wood veneer will accept finishes well but care should be taken to remove all sanding dust from the pores. It is almost never stained.
